ENVIRODEVELOPMENT WINS AT UDIA AWARDS

The EnviroDevelopment program saw great success at this year’s 2018 UDIA Queensland Mitchell Brandtman Awards for Excellence, with no less than seven awards being handed out to EnviroDevelopment accredited projects.

The UDIA Mitchell Brandtman Awards for Excellence was held last Friday 2 November with seven awards being awarded to EnviroDevelopment accredited projects.

The Parklands project by Grocon was the most successful project for the night with the 6 leaf certified development taking out 3 awards, including the President’s award which represents the best development of 2018. Parklands also took out the Master Planned Development and Consultants Excellence categories.

Mosaic Property Group, a proud backer of the EnviroDevelopment, took out two awards that were EnviroDevelopments. Avalon by Mosaic, located in the Maroochydore CBD, took out the Design Excellence award. This project did a fantastic job of combining high quality design and sustainability. Drift by Mosaic, located at Coolum Beach, took out the Marketing Excellence award. This project did a fantastic job of incorporating initiatives such as EnviroDevelopment into their marketing campaign.

Northeast Business Park achieved its first UDIA Award, taking out the Residential Subdivision category with North Harbour. North Harbour is a 1,500 lot Residential Subdivision that achieved outstanding sustainability initiatives such as attributing 320 ha of the 769 hectare site to green open space.

Halcyon Lakeside by Halcyon was the final project to win an award, taking out the Seniors Living category. Halcyon Lakeside is an over 50’s lifestyle village that excels is providing high quality sustainable housing with world class community amenities.

UDIA Queensland’s CEO Kirsty Chessher-Brown was excited to see more sustainable developments take out awards.
